Island Imports was established in 1999. The business is owned and operated by René & Carolyn.

After a trip to Indonesia in 1997 we fell in love with the lifestyle, the culture and of course the artwork seen in the pots, reliefs and statues.

Being obsessive tropical garden owners for a long time, we decided to bring home a piece of Bali everytime we visited for our own pleasure. As we open our garden to the public (once a year) we found we had so much interest in the Balinese gardens and lifestyle we started to import for clients.

Our garden has been in numerous garden magazines and on many television programmes including Burke's Backyard, Gardening Australia and Hot Property.
