My tropical Balinese style garden, "Taman Air" (meaning Water garden) has been a work in progress for nearly 14 years. I am on a 1370 m2 block (double block) of land. I have created an oasis in suburbia by planting many varieties of palms, cordylines, gingers and bromeliads. I have built timber boardwalks and laid stone pathways throughout the garden to add character and a sense of adventure to the various "garden rooms".
The "Balinese" style is created by adding water features, fish ponds, thatched roof pavilions, an authentic Balinese guest house and many traditional and modern hand carved statues adorn the garden throughout.
Throughout the garden I have fantastic 12 volt garden lighting, gas flares and a fogging system near the main pond.
Over the years, our garden has been featured on Burke's Backyard, Better Homes & Gardens, Gardening Australia and various magazines.
Balinese Statues, artifacts, wall reliefs, lanterns & gifts will be available for sale throughout the Open Day Weekend.
